  Industry Tips:

    • Do's and Don'ts:
      • Never believe you need to pay a person or an agency to start up (if they want you enough, there's no need for out of pocket expenses)
      • If you haven't heard of a certain agency, and you've looked for it, ask other agencies if they've heard of it
      • Never pose explicitly or even close to explicit.   Meaning, unless you intend to pose in this manner, never let anyone suggest to you that it is neccessary
      • If you are not sure you have as best of quality sample shots to send to an agency or us, simply ask for suggestions on how to better them
      • Prepare to do leg work if you set off on your own.   Without a good agency or scout, it's almost impossible to get your face on the desk
      • If you're going to send your photos and you have some way to get your photos produced, use these simple suggestions:
        • Use proper lighting
        • Make sure the photo is digital
        • Make sure each photo is clear
        • Do not digitally enhance your photos
        • When not using your teeth to smile, always bite down gently on your teeth to increase jaw intensity
        • Add your own personal energy in the shot, remember, you are selling your versitilty
        • Body shots -   make sure your body is physically up to par.   Meaning, abs and stomach, arms and legs, and shoulders and back.  Caution: the camera puts on at least 10lbs.
        • Use very little body jewelry and other adornments
        • Clothing should be simple and at pace with the current trends...but never too trendy
        • Make up, if you are going to use it...use it wisely
        • Most importantly, show your creative ENERGY, be real and have fun doing it!
    • Industry measurements:
      • Unfortunately, for certain areas of the industry, there are specific body heights & weights that are not negotiable, and each are at a minimum in most areas of industry by age 17:
        • Men:   Ht.5'10.5" - 6'2"  Wt.165 - 220 lbs. (larger weight allowances for larger muscle mass)
        • Women:   Ht.5'8"- 6'1"  Wt.105 - 125 lbs.
